Build the cost in layers

Start with the original item price. Then check seller-to-warehouse freight, optional warehouse services, the international quote for the packed parcel, payment costs and any import duties, taxes or carrier fees.

Size, weight, packaging, destination and the routes actually available to your account can change the quote. A rate from another shopper or an older parcel is context, not a promise.

Read the quote you actually receive

Check whether a figure is an estimate or final charge, which weight and dimensions it uses, what services are included, and whether the route accepts the item. Rehearsal or packaging changes can affect chargeable weight.

No route, arrival date, duty handling or insurance outcome is guaranteed by this directory. Review the live carrier and agent terms before submitting a parcel.

US import charges need a current check

CBP guidance published in 2026 says duty-free de minimis treatment for low-value shipments was suspended from August 29, 2025, subject to specific exceptions. That rules out the old blanket claim that every shipment below $800 enters duty-free.

The applicable treatment can depend on classification, origin, entry method and later rules. Use current CBP guidance and the USITC Harmonized Tariff Schedule; this site does not calculate a tariff rate.

Declare accurately

Use accurate product descriptions and values. Do not under-declare, label a purchase as a gift, or split parcels to evade tax. Those tactics can create delays, penalties, seizure risk and lost coverage.
